PROVO, Utah, December 29, 2016 –– The automation services team at Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) is researching current practices and forward-facing trends in authority control. The new generation of cloud-hosted ILS offerings is gaining ground. RDA adoption is well underway, and the buzz of linked data is in the air.
In a recent survey, Backstage invited active AUTOCAT subscribers to share their perspectives on managing authority control as the discovery landscape changes. The survey was designed to take a simple snapshot of Authority Control practices during the transition.
Results of the survey can be viewed on this link: www.bslw.com/authority_control/survey
