Responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving:
- Receives commercial deliveries; including unpacking, inspection, inventory, and assembly. Including reconciling materials and client communication
- Packs and ships items to return to clients including inspection, inventory, assemble and pack. Including reconciling materials
- Pick-ups and deliveries to prestigious institutions from Boston to Virginia via use of the company van, with occasional overnight stays for client trips of more than 5 hours may be required
- Properly categorizing, performing inventory, and entering itemized information into electronic tracking system. Update electronic departmental tracking system
- Manages client materials received and located in material warehouse
- Palletizing and shelfing of material received
- Accept incoming deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and other commercial carriers
- Conducts periodic physical inventories of material storage
- Maintains accurate and complete inventory records
- Maintain paper and electronic logs
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and supplies in receiving, shipping, and warehouse areas
- Assists with creating policies and procedures attributing to shipping and receiving best practices
- Other duties as assigned including production tasks: digitize materials or inspect images
Qualifications for Receiving:
- Must be able to lift and bend repeatedly, with the ability to lift boxes of client material weighing up to 50 – 70 lbs.
- Must have valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and ability to perform pick-up and delivery of client materials with company van or other commercial vehicles including up to a 16 foot commercial box truck
- Ability to full-time, 40 hours per week, 1st shift (between hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and co-workers
- Able to work in a team environment
- Ability to learn and use all shipping software/databases/electronic tracking systems (UPS, Fed-Ex, department status’s, etc.)
- Must be able to climb and descend an industrial ladder with client material
- Shows attention to detail and maintain accurate receiving records
- Able to work with rare and fragile materials in a production environment
- Proficiency with computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Work productively and independently while meeting daily priorities and production levels
- Problem-solving and ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little supervision
- Current employees must be in good standing – meeting or exceeding standards in current position – with at least six-months of continuous employment
Desirable but not required
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other imaging software.
- Experience with scanning, image inspection, and image editing
This position is non-exempt, fully benefited position including eight paid holidays per year; twelve PTO days per;

Pay: $14.25 $15.25 Based on Experience
