The first step is to outline how you normally choose your records when copy cataloging. If we're going to find perfect matches for you, we need to define what "perfect" means at your institution.

A Marcadia Service Profile allows you to select key points of comparison to use in evaluating records. This includes an array of commonly used criteria, letting you choose which items should be compared when screening for matching records. Space is also provided for you to input any other criteria specific to your library's cataloging practices.

For WorldCat records that meet your standards, you can specify which local information from your brief records you'd like Marcadia to keep and which tags it should be mapped to in the new record.
